Launch Timeline

EcoFlow has confirmed the STREAM will launch in the UK in September 2026, making it the first plug-in solar kit certified to the DESNZ Interim Product Specification v2.

Key dates:

  • 12 August – 15 September 2026: Early-bird pre-order window with discounted pricing

  • Late 2026: Available through major retailers (B&Q, Currys, Amazon)

What Is the EcoFlow STREAM?

The STREAM is an 800W plug-in solar system designed specifically for the UK market. It includes:

  • Two 400W rigid solar panels with 23% efficiency
  • STREAM microinverter with 800VA output
  • 600Wh battery (DC-side, for self-consumption optimisation)
  • BS 1363 plug with 5A fuse (IPS v2 compliant)
  • WiFi-connected app with real-time monitoring and smart scheduling
  • Mounting hardware for balcony, garden, or flat-roof installation

STREAM vs STREAM Ultra

EcoFlow also makes the STREAM Ultra, which offers higher output for European markets. However, the UK's 800VA cap means the Ultra's additional capacity is limited to the UK-legal output. See our STREAM vs STREAM Ultra comparison for details.

Installation

The STREAM is designed for genuine plug-and-play installation. Our step-by-step installation guide covers:

  1. Choosing your location (balcony, garden, or flat roof)
  2. Mounting the panels
  3. Connecting the cables
  4. Plugging into a wall socket
  5. Setting up the EcoFlow app
  6. Notifying your DNO

Should I pre-order or wait?

If you want the best price and don't mind being an early adopter, the early-bird pre-order is worth it. If you'd prefer to wait for reviews and price competition, kits from other manufacturers should appear by late 2026.

Will the STREAM work with my existing panels?

The STREAM is sold as a complete certified system. Using it with third-party panels may void the certification and potentially make the setup non-compliant with the IPS v2.

How much will I save?
